ABOUT THE ARTIST|
Pamela adopted acrylic mixed media as a medium for expression while recovering from a Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (MBTI) resulting from a severe concussion. During her three year journey of recovery Pamela found solitude first in photography, then colouring, followed by experimenting with acrylics and mixed media. Painting became a therapeutic process of just being - allowing Pamela's altered brain the solitude, quietness and meditation it demanded. Pamela's paintings were soon being purchased by admirers and she began accepting private commissions.
Prior to finding her artistic persona, Pamela was a busy Management Consultant, Author and community leader. Pamela's business career spanned >25 years working her way through middle management into senior leadership positions within the private, public and non-profit sectors in the legal, technology, manufacturing and social services industries. In addition to serving on numerous non-profit boards, Pamela has worked with hundreds of business-owner clients as an independent Business Management Consultant and as a Business Advisor and Loans Analyst with the Womens' Enterprise Centre of BC.
Pamela completed her MBA in Executive Management while studying at the Ecole de Management in Grenoble, France. Pamela's masterís thesis focused on adoption and diffusion strategies to encourage market adoption of new product categories, and included a secondary focus on firm start-up success factors, board composition and governance.
Pamela has managed a North American wide technical support services team, developed and delivered training programs for installed and online based software applications, and developed cross-training programs for a highly successful post-acquisition software support team merger.
As a corporate-commercial paralegal Pamela conducted due diligence on multi-million dollar commercial transactions, prepared licensing and shareholder agreements, and completed corporate restructuring, merger and acquisition documentation in British Columbia and Alberta.
Pamela has often been recognized for her team leadership (volunteer and employment), including
